Founder Growth: Effectiveness, Self-awareness and being the best at what you are good at; Resilience; Being a magnet for Talent; Personal Brand building; Key leadership transitions; Managing ambition; Scale readiness assessment; Leveraging a board

Org & Culture: Understanding culture deeply and making it work for you; Nuances of culture, Values, Diversity; Hiring & inspiring people smarter than yourself; Timing for bringing senior leaders on board and assimilating lateral hires; Creating a high performance organization; Nuts & bolts of hiring the best with minimum room for error; Red flags in leadership hiring; Structure choices as you scale; Aligning teams through OKR framework and making smart mid-course corrections in a rapidly changing environment.

STRUCTURE & FORMAT OF THE PROGRAM

2 full days of intense, and in-person, workshops facilitated by faculty who have worked in the start-up trenches and seen multiple scale journeys. These workshops would be scheduled over two weekends.

Thoughtfully curated, and high quality, online content that comprises assessment instruments, case studies, in-depth podcasts, fireside chats, articles, and blogs on the various themes and sub-themes of scaling.

A network of mentors and domain experts who can provide guidance and pointers to dealing with some of the difficult here-and-now problems.

The cohort size would be 20 startups. Two participants from each startups are eligible. These cohorts would be part of a continued community learning and engagement plan well after the fellowship.

Focus on the most important enablers of scaling that are agnostic to the context and domain. This program will provide participating founders the knowhow to confidently deal with the challenges of Scaling.

What do we look for in a Participant?

A Founder of an early stage start-up who is aware that the scaling journey can be a minefield, but with the right knowhow from people who have been there before, the journey through this minefield can be navigated without trip-ups or blow-ups. The start-up is growing rapidly, with ambitious scale ideas; and therefore keen to learn.

Founders of Artha:

Artha is founded by people who have been successful entrepreneurs/operators/investors, and have set up this school of entrepreneurship with the sole intent of giving back to the startup community. Artha is therefore structured as a Section 8 Company (not-for-profit category).
